Procedure for Handling Part Defects

< 1 min read

  1. Initial Assessment:
    • When a defect is identified, determine whether the situation is normal or abnormal.
    • Normal: Defects caused by wear and tear over time.
    • Abnormal: Defects occurring well before the expected lifespan (e.g., a component with > 3-year lifespan failing within a few months).
  2. Abnormal Defects:
    • If you determine that the defect is abnormal, please take the following steps:
      • Write a detailed email explaining the situation.
      • Include the part details, customer site information, and your assessment.
      • Clearly state why you believe the defect is abnormal.
      • Send this email directly to me.
